Pascal Marty is a French dancer and choreographer, based in between Bratislava and France.
He has created works on Göteborgs Operans Danskompani, Taller Coreográfico de la UNAM in Mexico, Dans I Nord in Sweden, A.C.Arts University in Australia and Saarlädisches Staatstheater. His latest work Your ghosts, my shadows created in collaboration with Emilie Leriche for Lenka Vagnerova Company premiered in September 2025 in Prague.
From 2013 to 2022 he was a member of Göteborgs Operans Danskompani under the artistic direction of Adolphe Binder and later on Katrín Hall. During his time there, he originated roles in new creation by the likes of Yoann Bourgeois, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Sharon Eyal, Saburo Teshigawara, Alan Lucien Øyen, Maxine Doyle or Damien Jalet. A graduate of the National Regional Conservatory of Montpellier, Pascal began his career at the Ballet Junior de Genève under the direction of Sean Wood and Patrice Delay; after two years in the young company he joined the Saarländisches Staatstheater directed by Marguerite Donlon for three years, before making his way to Sweden. Since then he has been a guest artist for creations such as Saburo Teshigawara’s Howling at the moon, Astrid Boon’s Decay, Lewis Major Projects’s Epilogue and Ophelia and Alan Lucien Øyen’s Story, story, die… and Antigone.
His piece Like Deer in the light created for the Göteborgs Operans Danskompani received the Katapult Award in 2014 and his Kawa noshita/Under co-created with Takuya Fujisawa was awarded by the Elisabeth Palmer’s Foundation in 2017. In 2022 he turned to Shawn Fitzgerald to collaborate on and direct his first short film Last Boy left choreographed with Emilie Leriche which received Best Long at the Portland Film Dance Fest in 2024.
