Rival

2018

My hand meets hers.
Something stirs—familiar, as if I  had felt this before.

As if I had always known how to touch,
and yet… forgotten.
I begin to dissolve,
drawn into the quiet of her fingers tracing on my skin—
the last border, ancient and trembling,
unsure whether to resist or surrender.

Intimate in a place that has long forgotten how.
Here, your skin is no surface—
it is armour,
it is weapon,
it is the first language, waiting to be spoken again.
